Many organizations prefer to host their own open-source monitoring and configuration management platforms such as LibreNMS, Nagios, Zabbix, Cacti, Smokeping, Graylog, Rancid, etc. because they provide improved control, transparency, and flexibility compared to commercial alternatives. These tools enable IT teams to customize monitoring, tailor alerts, and manage configurations exactly to their needs—without relying on third-party infrastructure or services. At Archous, we enable customers to own their own destiny by working collaboratively to deliver an in-house monitoring server deployment project covering their custom implementation, fully configured and optimized, which can then be handed off to the customer’s internal IT team for ongoing support and maintenance. This approach combines the power and cost-effectiveness of open-source software with professionally consulted design, deployment and engineering to give customers complete control over their infrastructure.
